Classical Recordings Quarterly
''Classical Recordings Quarterly'' (formerly ''Classic Record Collector'') is a quarterly British magazine devoted to vintage recordings of classical music, across the range of instrumental recordings, chamber music, orchestral, vocal and opera.
==Background==
Based in London, the magazine was founded (as ''International Classical Record Collector'') in 1995.〔International Opera Collector: IOC. - Volume 3 - Page 95 1998 "International Classical Record Collector is the publication for collectors of classical music recordings on all formats, from cylinders and 78s to analogue LPs and historic reissues on CD."〕 The magazine contains articles about artists and their recordings from the start of recording history through to the 1960s. There is also a letters page, reviews of new DVD and CD issues of pre-digital material, new LP and 78rpm repressings and books.〔(''Classical Music News from Naxos.com'' 'Classic Record Collector goes private'. September 24, 2008. )〕 The ''International Opera Collector'' was another quarterly supplement published at the same time.〔International opera collector: IOC. - Volume 3 - Page 3 1998 "International Opera Collector is published in the Spring (March), Summer (June), Autumn (September) and Winter (December).
